Why is it called "saddle stitch" if it uses staples
Saddle-stitching refers to the method of binding a booklet, which gets its name from the way it is assembled. In this process, the pages of the booklet are placed on a device resembling a saddle.
What is the recommended number of pages in saddle stitch booklets?
The recommended number of pages is 64 pages or less. If any more the booklet may not be able to lay flat
Why are interior and cover pages in four page increments?
Saddle-stitch booklets are produced by printing on elongated sheets of paper, which are then folded and stapled at the center. This means that for every long sheet used, the end result is a booklet consisting of four pages. The original sheet is folded in half, resulting in two halves, and each half contains two sides, thereby completing the four pages of the booklet.
